KinoPolska Québec Film Series at Cinémathèque: Journeys

On Saturday August 3rd from 3pm-6pm, the first edition of the KinoPolska film series will showcase two films by Polish-Quebec filmmakers: "Ojcu" (To My Father) by Liliana Komorowska and Diana Skaya, and "Memory Is Our Homeland" by Jonathan Kolodziej Durand. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers. The event is organized by Polski Piknik and the Polish Institute.

Concert "Hommage à Penderecki"

This concert, performed by Orchestre21 and soloist Justyna Gabzdyl, is in honor of 100 years of Polish independence and the 85th birthday of the Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki. Maestro Paollo Bellomia will showcase the results of his research at Université de Montréal: a system of sensors that allows for the creation of live projections based on the conductor's movements. "B jak Batory" project presentation
